Genevieve initially collaborated with Blockchain for Climate Foundation as a Digital Community Manager. She holds a MA in History and a MA in Journalism from the University of British Columbia. She has created multimedia content on topics ranging from social volcanology to marine conservation. She is passionate about how complex geopolitical issues can be incrementally communicated to different audience demographics through a variety of emerging multimedia tools. Having been born and raised in the Philippines, she finds herself gravitating towards research and work that addresses the uneven social effects of large scale anthropogenic disasters. Choosing not to be pessimistic about the future, Genevieve loves to work and collaborate with different communities, which is why she is immensely grateful for the engaging work environment at the Blockchain for Climate foundation. In her spare time, she loves spending time outside, cooking Filipino food, and reading science fiction by Ursula K. Leguin in Vancouver Island, where she lives, works, and plays.
