Mahmoud Shehata is no stranger to building exciting and innovative projects with blockchain technology. He is currently finishing his Computing Science degree at Simon Fraser University. As President of a club called “SFU Tehness”, Mahmoud hosts blockchain icebreakers, info sessions, and hackathons. He is also a member of the SFU Satellite Design Team, where he develops noise filtering algorithms for satellite sensors. His previous experience includes building a decentralized application as service (DAAS) called Cosmos using IPFS and Bluezelle, and building his own blockchain, written in GoLang, called Andromeda. Most notably, he also worked for WelTel as a Data Scientist to design and implement a data analytics dashboard to aggregate COIVD data. Mahmoud is inspired by blockchain as a means of reducing global warming entropy as the interactions of technology grow to manifold complexities. Blockchain for Climate Foundation is immensely proud to have Mahmoud on the team!
