Now hiring a Digital Community Manager

Blockchain for Climate Foundation and Ecotrust Canada have partnered to develop a blockchain platform to enable the issuance and exchange of Paris Agreement – compliant carbon credits. The work aims to connect the national carbon accounts of the world to enable cross border collaboration on emissions reductions. We are looking for a qualified Digital Community Manager to join our team! If you are a self-driven and ambitious tech-savvy professional, we would love to meet you! We are seeking a candidate experienced in social media, PR, internal and external communications.

Community Manager duties and responsibilities

  • Set, plan and implement social media and communication campaigns and strategies

  • Produce engaging text, image and video content for social media and professional accounts

  • Monitor, track and report on feedback and community sentiment

  • Participate in Blockchain for Climate Foundation website refresh and content development

  • Coordinate meetings and team engagement with Blockchain for Climate team

  • Build relationships with customers, industry professionals and journalists

  • Stay up-to-date with “blockchain for impact” sector trends

Community Manager requirements

  • Due to funding requirements, must be a Canadian citizen, permanent residents or persons who have been granted refugee status in Canada. They must be unemployed, underemployed or hold part-time employment. Candidate must be between 15 and 30 years old.

  • Experience planning and leading digital community initiatives

  • Proven work experience as a community manager or similar role

  • Knowledge of, and engagement in the blockchain community a plus

  • Ability to identify and track relevant community KPIs

  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentations skills

  • Motivated, self-starter

  • Hands on experience with social media management

  • Knowledge of online marketing

  • Attention to detail, critical-thinker and problem-solver

  • Post-secondary degree in Marketing, Communications or other relevant field
