Since 2017, Blockchain for Climate Foundation has worked to put the Paris Agreement on Ethereum to connect the world’s carbon markets an enable cross-border collaboration on climate change.

Through our work, we:

• Pioneered the BITMO Platform (Blockchain Internationally Transferred Mitigation Outcomes), a proof-of-concept for securely issuing and transferring carbon credits.

• Helped inspire conversations on how decentralized technologies can support climate finance and Paris Agreement Article 6.

• Brought together partners across governments, NGOs, Indigenous leaders, and climate-tech innovators to explore the future of carbon accounting.

Where we are now

At this time, our team is not actively advancing new projects, but our mission remains the same: harnessing blockchain for more effective climate cooperation.

While we are not currently engaged in active development, we may return to this work in the future—building on the foundation already laid and continuing to support solutions for a safe climate.
